The volume crosses the historically and theoretically rich reflection of Michele Federico Sciacca, a master of the twentieth century, with the intent to discover the enduring relevance in order to metaphysical and anthropological issues: person, truth, freedom. The four sections – Metaphysics and dialectic, Truth and person, Person and freedom, Metaphysics and history – examine in depth the speculation of Sciacca and also offer a proactive review of modern and contemporary philosophy, to which he placed himself in constructive dialog. The volume, therefore, not only offers itineraries within which it is possible to come to further develop routes on fact and fruitful, but provides the lesson sciacchiana as valid always mode to do philosophy: listen to the truth to be at the service of the person.
