Bescherelle distinguishes two important types of synonyms: the “synonymes comparés”, which go back to the tradition of the “synonymie distinctive”, and the “synonymes simples” which can be traced back to those “synonymes cumulatifs ou mots approchants” whose origin dates back to the seventeenth century. Bescherelle finally refers to another type of synonymy, called “absolue”, which is to be found between two functional languages such as scientific and popular nomenclatures.

Abstract
Bescherelle distinguishes two important types of synonyms: the “synonymes comparés”, which go back to the tradition of the “synonymie distinctive”, and the “synonymes simples” which can be traced back to those “synonymes cumulatifs ou mots approchants” whose origin dates back to the seventeenth century. Bescherelle finally refers to another type of synonymy, called “absolue”, which is to be found between two functional languages such as scientific and popular nomenclatures.File in questo prodotto:
