The volume presents some outstanding philosophical interpretations of the Bible, which represent original and alternative perspectives of the contemporary hermeneutics. The articles (concerning Maimonide, Kant, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Cohen, Ebner and Levinas) demonstrate how the “philosophical” approach of the Bible shouldn't be based on a dogmatic/confessional reading but on the freedom and universality of the principle “in novitate et libertate spiritus”.
