"Amor di poesia". Lettere 1940-1966

Questo carteggio presenta 77 lettere inedite scambiate tra il 1940 e il 1966 da due importanti poeti: Angelo Barile (1888-1967) e Gherardo Del Colle (1920-1978), il primo più noto per essere stato vicino a Camillo Sbarbaro e corrispondente di Montale e Saba e rappresentante tra i maggiori della poesia italiana del Novecento di ispirazione cristiana, tanto da essere stato il maestro del secondo che, come risulta da queste lettere, gli mandò in visione i suoi primi versi per averne un giudizio. Ma oltre a chiarire i rapporti tra i due corrispondenti, questo carteggio, fittamente annotato, offre numerose notizie sull’ambiente poetico italiano, e ligure in particolare, negli anni centrali del Novecento, con informazioni inedite sull’attività letteraria e giornalistica dei numerosi personaggi che, come Giorgio Caproni, vi sono citati. This correspondence introduces 77 unpublished letters exchanged between 1940 and 1966 by two important poets: Angelo Barile (1888 -1967) and Gherardo Del Colle (1920 -1978), the first one more known for to have been next to Camillo Sbarbaro and correspondent of Saba and Montale and representative among the greatest of the Italian poetry of the ninenteenth century of Christian inspiration, so much to have been Gherardo Del Colle’s teacher, as it results from these letters, in which he sent him in vision his first verses to have a judgment. But besides clarifying the relationships among the two correspondents, this correspondence, densely annotated, offers particularly numerous news on the Italian poetic environment in the central years of the ninenteenth century, with unpublished information about the literary and journalistic activity of the numerous authors that, as George Caproni, are here quoted.
