Religions and Immigrations. A geographical reading From the wide range of interest attested by the geographical bibliography, come out with particular prominence the researches of human geography and in particularly the constant attention to the territorial implications of the demographics facts. Migrations process has resulted in the development of religious pluralism in numerous countries and recently the geographers have taken into account new European, Italian and Ligurian scenarios indicated by the Eastern and African immigration that has favoured the development of this cultural interactions. The religious activities of migrants in Italy has become of increasing interest among scholars of religion during the decades. One of the main areas of study has been the ways in which cultural and religion background of immigrants affect process of integration in national societies (Albania, Chine, Ecuador, Morocco, Peru, Romania, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Ukraine). In this book the effects of this religious pluralism in the Italian society were discussed focusing our attention on the Muslim communities, new religions and spiritual movements.
