Genoa is a city that has changed a lot in the last few years: from a city based on an industrial port to a major touristic attraction offering a unique mix of cultural heritage and a young, lively, eventful atmosphere. The question is whether tourists have begun to do just the great architectural and cultural heritage of the city or continue to be attracted only by predetermined seasonal events. For that purpose, a questionnaire was administered to visitors (not Genoese) of Euroflora 2006, the most significant and important trade fair in Genoa. The questionnaire was divided into five logical sections as described below: Typology of visitors of the great events in Genoa; Level of knowledge of the city; Reasons for the visit and activities undertaken; perception of the city; satisfaction.
