The statue of Scipione is kept in the old Genoa inside a Cibo Palace, it is made of ancient parts and follows the old style. It is associated to the C.Vachero conspiracy (1628) and to Carlo Cibo, a Genoese aristocrat, educated in Ferrara by a descendant of the humanist Guarino Guarini. The statue wants to underline the loyalty of the Cibo family to the Republic of Genoa and constitutes an example of functional recovery of history
