This book addresses, from a pedagogical and musicological perspective, the figure of Johann Sebastian Bach, traversing the greatness of his musical compositions, universally recognized as an invaluable part of the cultural heritage of the West. In investigating the relationship between Pedagogy and Music, Francesca Marcone focuses on the three fundamental categories of human self-formation, education and cultural instruction, referring them both to the German composer and to the interpreter of his baroque works. This is up to questioning the meaning of a ‘Pedagogy of the musikalische Bildung’. As well as asking whether there is a pedagogical relationship between the ordo musicae – which emerges from Bach’s work – and the ordo vitae – which involves both the essence and existence of the human being –.

This is up to questioning the meaning of a ‘Pedagogy of the musikalische Bildung’. As well as asking whether there is a pedagogical relationship between the ordo musicae – which emerges from Bach’s work – and the ordo vitae – which involves both the essence and existence of the human being –.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
