The chapter illustrates a case study in the Wester Ligurian Riviera, that has a historical vocation to be a therapeutical landscape-based tourism set, starting from the beginning of the XXth century. The contribution describes the Costarainera Sanatorium (built to cure respiratory sickness) and its park, that has been dismissed in the last decades. Then it illustrates the recently realized landscape project for the enhancement of a pilot-area, giving birth to the “Novaro Wellbeing Park”, with its “therapeutic rooms” in nature (based on different theories about natural therapies). It focuses on the role of this opening as a strategic phase of a further project for the valorization of the whole complex, inserted in the tourist circuit of the San Lorenzo Valley, and along the coastal bicycle pathway, Sanremo-San Lorenzo al Mare. Finally, it shows the value of the study-case, the future outlook of the intervention and its managerial challenges.

Abstract
Finally, it shows the value of the study-case, the future outlook of the intervention and its managerial challenges.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
