Selve urbane e aree rinaturalizzate di Genova: analisi preliminare e percorsi di ricerca

This work consists of a preliminary analysis of the ‘urban sylvan’ of Genoa and the defining of some research paths undertaken within the PRIN SYLVA. Urban sylvan can be understood both from the ‘natural’ point of view as wooded areas or going rewilding and from the ‘anthropic’ one, as degraded, impenetrable and disorienting spaces for various socio-economic reasons. Here the research is mainly based on a qualitative-quantitative and diachronic geographic analysis of the extension of wooded areas within the Municipality of Genoa. But the urban sylvan can also be understood as the popular districts built in the post-war period without real planning, or rather according to spontaneous and chaotic processes. More in detail, cartographic and photographic comparisons were carried out to observe the transformations of the landscape in the rio delle Rovare valley (bassa Val Bisagno).
