The article deals with some collections of papal legislation in the 15th century. Given a brief study on the type of regulations issued by the Apostolic See, it focuses in particular on the analysis of three systematic collections of the 15th century preserved at the Vatican Library, and then concludes with a brief reflection on the evolution that, following the invention of printing, this kind of collections would undergo, until they took on more complex shapes which, in the sixteenth century, would start the genre of bullaries.
