I pioppi di Calipso, tra sogno e dimenticanza

Starting from the Greek epics and from the Greek trage- dy, Arsena explores, according to B. Snell, Eric R. Dodds and G. Guidorizzi the theme of body, mind, sleeping, dream in the Greek culture, between Homerus and Plato. The autonomy of the body points out together with the connection between body and mind, working through Eros and Thanatos. Odysseus and Kalupsó are so becoming individuals oriented toward a transcendent reality, which is beyond the space and the time.

Muovendo dall’epica e dalla tragedia, l’autrice esplora, sulla scìa di B. Snell, Eric R. Dodds e G. Guidorizzi i concetti di corpo e mente, sonno, veglia e sogno nella cultura greca tra Omero e Platone. Accanto al legame corpo–mente spicca pertanto l’auto- nomia del sogno, che opera tra Eros e Thanatos. Odisseo e Calipso divengono così soggetti che esprimono una realtà trascendente, che nel sogno riguarda un’area che oltrepassa lo spazio e il tempo.
