At the turn of the 20th century, the crisis of the concept of territory as an analytical and measurable space triggered a radical change in urban studies. Such change gave new strategic meanings to the notion of landscape. The landscape made artificial by human activity was therefore a candidate to become the preferred means of interpreting and representing not only spaces, but also the relationships, histories and performances of places. This led to the need to speak about, map out or even exhibit the landscape, or rather the new forms in which the landscape was being shaped. Invoked as a design tool, the landscape is capable of establishing strategic relationships with other components of the built environment, such as in particular infrastructures. These relationships are subject to such a pressing evolution as to in this book we aim to explore, in a preliminary way, a further potential theoretical and strategic shift in the landscape-infrastructure research.

Abstract
These relationships are subject to such a pressing evolution as to in this book we aim to explore, in a preliminary way, a further potential theoretical and strategic shift in the landscape-infrastructure research.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
