Abstract
One of the most important factor, which has influenced at various scale of intensity land-cover evolution in the whole Mediterranean Basin, has been the agricultural practice. Changes dynamics in agro-forestry land-cover leading to abandonment of particular territories highlight the need for a better understanding of the patterns and processes of re-colonization and alternative succession of species and uses. The paper explores the role of open spaces to re-establish resilient local food networks, new waste and energy cycles into a new rural renaissance dimension, landscapes heritage re-qualification and forms of active protection.File in questo prodotto:
