The First Steps of the European Economic Integration Process: A Path Full of Obstacles

In this article, I intend to underline the most relevant European and Community steps towards European economic integration taking into consideration the political implications of this process, starting from the well-known Marshall Plan to the first European Monetary System. In questo articolo si selezionano i principali passi europei e comunitari verso l’integrazione economica, prendendo in considerazione le implicazioni politiche di questo percorso a partire dal ben noto Piano Marshall sino al Sistema monetario europeo.
