This article addresses the issue of multilingualism in audiovisual fiction in relation to translation/adaptation, representations of language and linguistic ideologies. After a presentation of the theme and its numerous stakes (linguistic, aesthetic, economic, translational), the article presents the main (i.e. linguistic, aesthetic, economic, translational) issues at stake, and starting from the analysis of three cases belonging to the French-speaking world (Bad Blood, Mommy, Sofia), we propose an analysis grid of the different subtitling and dubbing strategies for multilingual films.
