Decision-making in organization is a wide area that usually relies on formal methodology such as decision theory and game theory and on empirical investigations of actual decision-making in organizations. The aim of this paper is to propose a methodology to approach the following question: How can we conceptualize the quality of collective decisions made within the context of a complex sociotechnical system (STS)? The quality of collective decisions in STS is approached in this paper by focusing on the following three fundamental concepts: transparency, fairness, and efficiency.
