MELILF. Migration and Everyday Life. Iberian Literature and Film

The main goal of this project is to investigate how and to what extent everyday life has changed in the Mediterranean basin since the 1973 particularly as a result of the increase in immigration from neighboring countries and how it has been represented in literature and film. The research hypothesis combines comparative literature, film studies, sociology, anthropology, and can be summari&ed as a cultural studies project. We will conduct the research through the analysis of an illustrative sample of texts of diverse nature that will be instrumental in identifying and establishing a respectable corpus of examples to study the details of daily life, especially its many transformations that are theseemingly minor disturbances of life set against and within a world of daily habits and shared feelings.
