Creative Coast deals with integrated Urban-rural planning perspectives on the Baltic Sea to strengthen regional planning development scenarios outside the metropolitan centers. With a research-by-design methodology the book collects the experiences of the design studio carried out by LUH Institute of Urban design and Planning with the focus on the cities of Lübeck and Wismar and a network of smaller cities and towns along the 80 km of the German Baltic coast. Creative Coast seeks for scenarios planning as a tool to trigger new socio-spatial potential and economic innovation. To this end, three fields of research are examined: food sector, creative industries, territorial accessibility. All three topics can contribute to a Creative Coast that reinvents itself through knowledge, ability and commitment as an attractive place to live. Spatial creativity plays a special role here in order to capture and use regional development trends and opportunities, to form new infrastructural assets, and to make the change tangible. Creative Coast is a contribution to the Regiobranding research project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, for the focus region Lübeck-Northwest Mecklenburg.

Abstract
Creative Coast is a contribution to the Regiobranding research project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, for the focus region Lübeck-Northwest Mecklenburg.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
