Building upon the results of the En2Bria EU cofunded research project, the work addresses the relationship between the Brussels I bis Regulation and special rules on jurisdiction and recognition and enforcement of decisions contained in other EU law instruments. The contribution highlights the growing complexity in the filed and offers a critical rationalization of the existing legal framework, proposing interpretative and policymaking solutions to increase certainty in the application of EU law.
