In this contribution the author compares the Voyage de Charlemagne withthe Digenis Akritas; the two medieval texts reveal important family resem-blances, which are concentrated in the ethnoliterary motif of boasts by ban-queting warriors, both in its unique lexicalization both in a series of smaller de-tails. e comparison provides a further proof of the relationship between ro-mance and eastern middle ages.
confronto critico e storico letterario fra i due testi epici occidentale e orientale alla luce del motivo dei vanti di guerrieri al simposio. Questo contributo l’autore mette a confronto ilVoyage de Charlemagnecon ilDigenis Akritas; i due testi medievali rivelano importanti somiglianze difamiglia, che si concentrano nella frequenza del motivo etnoletterario dei vantisimposiali dei guerrieri, sia nella sua lessicalizzazione univoca in entrambe leopere, sia in una serie di particolari minori. Il confronto fornisce una prova ul-teriore delle relazioni fra Medioevo romanzo e orientale.
