From the second half of the 20th century the scholars focused increasingly the importance of the franciscan authors, over all Bonaventura of Bagnoregio, as sources for Dante Alighieri’s works, particularly the Comedy. In the light of the “pioneering” researches of Ernesto Jallonghi (1876-1934) this paper analyses the distinctive features and the problematic aspects of the most important contributions about this topic.

A partire dalla seconda metà del XX secolo gli studiosi si sono concentrati in modo crescente sull’importanza degli autori francescani, soprattutto Bonaventura da Bagnoregio, come fonti per le opere di Dante Alighieri, in particolare la Commedia. Alla luce delle “pionieristiche” ricerche di Ernesto Jallonghi (1876-1934) questo saggio analizza le linee caratterizzanti e gli aspetti problematici dei più importanti contributi su questa tematica.
