The metallic mouth of a perishable body pot from Monterenzio Vecchia (BO) was studied. A metallographic and microanalytical study was carried out, to obtain information useful to understand material characteristics and propose hypothesis about manufacture process. Observations allowed to gain data relatively to alloy composition and inclusions and to estimate the preservation degree of the object.
