The publisher Georg Müller in Frankfurt put out eighteen books between 1660 and 1663. Eight were translations from Italian, three of which were Italian literary texts translated by Johann Makle: Boccaccio's Labirinto d’amore (otherwise known as Corbaccio), Antonio Santacroce's Segreteria di Apollo and Arcangela Tarabotti's Semplicità ingannata. The contribution will analyze these translations focusing especially on adaptation for a German Lutheran public and searching for a possible editorial project in Müller's catalogue.
