The article is built on a false premise (an unorthodox definition of the Foucauldian notion of counter-conducts), and nonetheless explores the potentialities of the idea of “conducting themselves together in a different way”. It thus outlines what is politically at stake in such a collective practice, what ideas of subjects, spaces and temporalities does it envisage, by paralleling it with the practice of jazz improvisation.
