An die Freude. Poetiche della Gioia e tensione umanistica in Schiller

The article examines the ode An die Freude, composed by Friedrich Schiller in 1785. The German poet transposes in the language of the lyric the tension towards the universal harmony which distinguishes his entire literary work. Joy permeates the noble nature of that man who has been able to arrange his aesthetic self-formation in a harmonious bond with nature and other men. The neo-humanistic poetics of joy is dimensioned around the inner feeling of humanity. This is a humanity felt as a subjective essence and a sign of an existential affiliation to the humankind, in the recognition of which peace and fraternity can be realized.

L’articolo prende in esame l’ode An die Freude, composta da Friedrich Schiller nel 1785. Il poeta tedesco traspone nel linguaggio della lirica la tensione verso l’armonia universale di cui è intrisa la sua intera opera letteraria. La gioia circonfonde l’animo nobile di quell’uomo che ha saputo disporre la propria formazione estetica nel legame armonico con la natura e gli altri uomini. La poetica neoumanistica schilleriana della gioia si dimensiona intorno al sentimento interiore dell’umanità. Si tratta di una umanità avvertita quale cifra soggettiva e contrassegno di un’appartenenza esistenziale al genere umano, nel cui riconoscimento si dischiudono la pace e la fraternità.
