The paper is focused on Sentinum, mainly acknowledged to the tribe of Lemonia, as it is evident from the epigraphs which remains are found near the town of Sassoferrato (AN). Sentinum and its territory were included in the Augustan arrangement of the Italian peninsula, in the regio VI – Umbria et ager Gallicus, between the river Esino and Rubicon where in a protohistoric age lived Umbrian-speaking people of Umbrian descent. The article attempts to retrace briefly the history of the city and to describe the tasks of the magistrates, heads of the community, of the people in charge of imperial cult and of priests, very few ones, present in the epigraphic evidences available at the moment
