During the nineteenth century several reforms in Spanish Orthography followed one another, sparking off passionate debates. Given this historical context, we set ourselves the research question as to whether those proposals found an echo in Italian-Spanish bilingual dictionaries published in the nineteenth century. To test this hypothesis, we have analyzed the paratextual lexicographic components of all works, the articles of the alphabetical letters lemmatized, the presence of the abbreviation ‘ortog’ and the microstructure of the Martínez del Romero dictionary, an original work which is directly relevant to the focus of our study.

Abstract
During the nineteenth century several reforms in Spanish Orthography followed one another, sparking off passionate debates. Given this historical context, we set ourselves the research question as to whether those proposals found an echo in Italian-Spanish bilingual dictionaries published in the nineteenth century. To test this hypothesis, we have analyzed the paratextual lexicographic components of all works, the articles of the alphabetical letters lemmatized, the presence of the abbreviation ‘ortog’ and the microstructure of the Martínez del Romero dictionary, an original work which is directly relevant to the focus of our study.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
