The natural multilevel complexity expressed obsessive forms and structures in trans-scalar, trans-spatial and trans-temporal relationships, lays Mediterranean cities as a reference in the study of global urban and territorial processes. Today these territories evolve, or rather return, to a size in which states lose their prominence to the benefit of the city. The city-port powerful comeback to represent entire regions with an increasingly important role. Design and planning increasing expressed through the paradigms of re- and re- and Mediterranean becomes the main place of rediscovered project.
