The paper deals with the Traffic Controllers and ships Pilots training in marine ports environments. A survey of the state of the art in this area is presented; in addition two simulators (a ship bridge simulator and a control tower simulator) part of an ongoing research project at University of Calabria are briefly described. The ship bridge simulator and the control tower simulator share the same virtual environment and an initial description of both simulators and their implementation is reported.
