The foreword introduces the book of fables, highlighting the relationship between the modern and the post-modern, bringing onto the stage, however, the characters and the “classical” situations of the fantasy tale. It clarifies identified themes, analyzes the type of language employed by the writers and evaluates the pedagogical impact of the fables both in the classroom and in the workshop, all aimed at developing young people's potential at an aesthetic-linguistic level. The introduction also refers to cross-curriculum text-book input – history, geography, local culture and anthropology – and the psycho-pedagogical contribution geared towards personality ‘building’.
