The article investigates and interprets the crucial role played by the journal “Il Nodo. Scuole in rete” in its fifteen years of activity in the field of general and social pedagogy, boasting a personalist background and inspiration from humanistic psychology. Highlighted is the demise of a shared educational feeling, anchored in man's considerable values and idealities and linked to the scanning of training times in the existential arc so as to obtain the most appropriate virtues of being a person - all corresponding to the succession of diversified “educational duties” over the span of a lifetime. O. Rossi Cassottana once agin investigates the weaving of the themes typical of a journal, which the Scientific Board and Scientific and Technical Committee were sensitive enough to focolize, “feeling the pulse” of a socio-cultural situation in full evolution or involution sometimes wrapped up in itself and benumbed from the point of view of training, and to accept meaningful contributions and changes of 'direction'. The journal has been able to enhance reciprocal contributions between university and school, without ever sacrificing scientific rigour or workability, this reflecting on the journal itself as it provides pertinent educational answers irrespective of ideological alliances.
