Can a robot man exist? Value and limits of artificial intelligence. Beyond the scientific reference framework posing the question whether a robot man can exist and which can be the value and limits of artificial intelligence, this contribution investigates the inevitable pedagogical repercussions of the issue. The article looks into the great doctor and humanist Paolo Michele Erede, whose name is borne by “Foundation Professor Paolo Michele Erede”. Also examined are the essentials he identified in order to investigate ‘human’ in cross-curriculum character, where the theme education in all its facets remains central; the salient motives for pedagogy to be taken as a humanistic science par excellence are also examined.
