Open research. [In]disciplina e consapevolezza

This paper has been proposed at the Conference "Rebel Matter Radical Patterns"( the topic was the vanguard of a new era whose expressions are evidences of an attitude that chooses to rebel against the existing rather than describe it). A more general consideration is linked to the issue of Rebel Matters. It goes by cross-research and open, which, especially in the years of the radical avant-garde, was very fertile. The presence of a humanistic culture can be traced in the rebel culture and it is seen as a chance to turn the contemporary crisis. The text is divided into 4 parts: 1.Open research: The boundaries of disciplines are not solid but malleable. Beyond knowledge, design-research feeds on rituals, beliefs, and intuitions, hardly teachable, except through parallel activities to action teaching proper. 2. Humanistic change: A cultural turning point unfolds through a paradigm shift: the end of specialization hegemony and the advent of cultural leadership led by explorers unruly inspired and driven by a humanistic approach. 3. [In] discipline: In-discipline and not interdisciplinary: it doesn’t consist in support the disciplines to one another, but to be no compressed in their edges. 4. Awareness: Talking of awareness means to speak about civilization, dialogue and exchange, abandoning the logic of celebration, the desire to impress, the self-representation, to put in the foreground a values system, nothing to be invented from scratch, but only by recover giving it a new form.
