Gli strumenti per affermare che una superficie è nello stato di “quasi-equilibrio” sono sufficienti?

ABSTRACT The variously coloured and plastered surfaces of our historical centres, show, for those who are capable to decode them, a large amount of signs and information. Therefore a question arises: why so often total full re-colouring, or even replastering are observed? Perhaps it is a problem of lack of confidence in the diagnosis, or caution towards the possible evolution of decay? Another observation: it is expected that the current economic situation will determines a limit in the interventions, maybe it's possible that we are forced to intervene again with the well known practice of the "patches", the intervention aimed exclusively to fill the gaps. More and more we have to get used to reconsider the term quasi-equilibrium stated by Mannoni. The article will investigate the reasons for certain behaviours, trying to find solutions to this situation. Through a critical review of some interventions and a discussion of the literature concerning the possibility of detects situations of quasi-equilibrium, we want to propose a method to approach the problem, trying to focus more on prevention and maintenance in order to push more and more towards the conservation of our heritage.
