In October 1963 the cultural magazine “Cuadernos para el Diálogo” was founded in Madrid, directed by Joaquín Ruiz-Giménez. Since its origins the magazine was characterised by its anti-Francoist stance and resolute pro-European attitude, thus becoming a political point of reference. The European and pro-European perspectives represent the object of analysis of this essay. The magazine lasted a short time, as its publication ceased in 1976, but between the 1960s and ‘70s it took on great importance in Spanish society.

Abstract
