The Eclipse-IT 2010 workshop is the fifth yearly meeting of the Eclipse Italian Community which includes both Universities and Industries, with the aim of joining researchers and practitioners, students and professionals, around the common interest in experimenting, extending, and supporting the Eclipse platform. Due to a special interest and running project, this year, the Conference hosts a special session on the Jazz cooperative development environment, based on the Enforcing Team Cooperation (ETC) Project. ETC involves many universities with the aim to bring together teams of students in order to develop software in a cooperative way. Based on the success of the previous editions, the Eclipse-IT 2010 will host four tracks (regular, student, industrial, and JAZZ applications) and three types of contributions are accepted: technical papers, student demo papers, experience in public institutions (P.A.) or industrial demos.

Abstract

The Eclipse Integrated Development Environment is a widely used platform for the development of Object Oriented Applications. Besides, Eclipse is an open source community and ecosystem whose projects are focused on building an open development platform comprised of extensible frameworks, tools and runtimes for building, deploying and managing software across its lifecycle.
