This paper presents the experimental set-up design for the determination of the diffusion coefficient of human IgG through Fibronectin (Fn) tubes. This work has been carried out as a part of a colloborative project aiming to develop novel engineering bioartificial nerve grafts with which optimize and improve surgical peripheral nerve repair. This work is complemented by computer modeling of the incorporation/release diffusion dynamics of soluted, including therapeutic antibodies. Non-immunogenic neutralizing human antibodies anti-TGF-ß1 suitable for clinical use as locally derived therapies will be used in the project in order to prevent inflammation and scarring. In fact, inflammation and scarring are enhanced by TGF-ß1 production by macrophages limphocites etc.
