An early diagnosis is the best way to face a skin cancer as melanoma. The health of the population can be improved by enhancing screening efficacy and shortening waiting lists: in order to do that, general practitioners seem to be important, but, at present, they need specific tools for the diagnosis. This project aims to supply them with an ad hoc photo camera( with proper control software), a specific electronic clinical record system and a HL7 Web Service based tool in order to shar all personal, anamnestic and clinical relevant data between general practitioners' outpatients and specialist wards. Moreover, lesion image can be shared too, using secure FTP trasmission protocol.

Abstract
An early diagnosis is the best way to face a skin cancer as melanoma. The health of the population can be improved by enhancing screening efficacy and shortening waiting lists: in order to do that, general practitioners seem to be important, but, at present, they need specific tools for the diagnosis. This project aims to supply them with an ad hoc photo camera( with proper control software), a specific electronic clinical record system and a HL7 Web Service based tool in order to shar all personal, anamnestic and clinical relevant data between general practitioners' outpatients and specialist wards. Moreover, lesion image can be shared too, using secure FTP trasmission protocol.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
