A genetically-modified strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (W303-181), able to overexpress glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH), has been cultivated batchwise at different temperatures and the experimental data of G6PDH activity and biomass concentration have been used to estimate the thermodynamic quantities of both activation and thermal inactivation of this system.

Abstract
