Abstract

A helicoidal tubular photobioreactor was used for the cultivation of the cyanobacterium Arthrospira platensis using different light intensities and dilutions rates with the aim of obtaining high cell concentration, once the batch cultures had reached early stationary growth phase, and high cell productivity under semicontinuous pseudo-steady-state conditions.
