La Scuola Genovese: diverse declinazioni del “fare ricerca di design" - The genoese experience: the different styles of "doing research in design"

The paper describes the line of research that has characterized since more than ten years the School of Design in Genoa active at the Department of Sciences for Architecture, University of Genoa, and the new tendences that arise from following in the near future. The School of Design has been active in promoting design as an effective instrument to enhance any kind of territory and it is one of the main branches of research of the DSA. Design, like other branches of research contributes to the progress of knowledge through the development of teaching and research activities on architecture and the problems related to the the design of other objects according to different levels of detail The paper collects the specificity design of the Genoese School and the variety of possible areas of application, as documented by a concise description of the experiments conducted during the last decade. Design for ongoing innovation so that the School will be able to establish new relationships, do new research, new experimentation, favour process of constant growth and offer excellence in research.
