PROSPECTS FOR SYSTEMIC AND SUSTAINABLE. The contribution presented in the book summarizes the intervention to a Conference who presented the results of a multi-disciplinary research inside a scientific agreement between the Universities of Genoa and Valle d'Aosta. In particular, the contribution points out how the territory, as a product of the processing and structuring willful man, is somehow an educational platform in which nature, society, culture, political and economic organization, through countless relationships that trigger, help to give shape, direction, to human activities and social life on which rests the community. Educating to the territory coincides with the purposes of the first geographical trains: cognitively placed in the living space, which is something much more than just spatial orientation, because it regards knowing how to place us culturally in our local and national communities, being able to relate well with the community and cultures, being able to think us as part of a community with global destiny, as a species and as an ecological entity
