The relationships between geography and religion can be seen by the influences of religion in shaping cosmological representations of the world. The articulation of religious identity is concerned with material aspect of symbolizing religious identity (I Chapter). The second central theme is on the role of Catholic Church for the peace and the sustainable development (II Chapter). Migrations process has resulted in the development of religious pluralism in numerous countries. Recently the geographers have taken into account new Italian scenarios indicated by the non-European immigration that has favoured the development of the religious pluralism, trying to taking into account new approaches to the integration process. This imply a mutual acquaintance that it is will all to build. Muslims are the second religion in Italy and their number are rising at a rate four times.(III Chapter and V). Christianity has a long history in Anatolia, now part of the Republic of Turkey, which is the home of the Seven Churches of Asia. All the first seven Ecumenical Councils are recognized in Turkey. Now the Government officially recognized only three minority religious communities: they may operate schools under supervision of the Education Ministry, but state policy imposes restrictions on religious groups, including universities (IV Chapter). The food can be approached at various scales, from global to the local (slow food, slow fish) (VI Chapter). The choice of focus on religious anthropology allows us to explore some of the interesting work published by geographers of religion (VII Chapter).
