The purpose of this work is the definition of a mathematical programming model for the quasi-operational planning of intercity freight transportation operations, with the possibility of intermodal (road and rail) transport. This work has been realized within the Research Project Agrologis, funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research and oriented to the development of new technologies for intermodal transport, specifically for the agro-industry, through the rationalization of the intermodal logistic chain.

Abstract
