A series of studies is presented, aimed to develop the structures of an innovative prototype of vessel named Aliswath, composed by a hull and an immerged body missile shaped, interconnected through two legs. The studies take place from an investigation performed between the Rodriquez S.p.A. of Messina and the Department of Naval Architect and Marine Technologies of the university of Genoa. At first a preliminary dimensionamento of the main cross section was performed, applying the regulations for High Speed Craft (HSC) of three different classification Societies: Italian Naval Register, American Bureau of Shipping and Det Norske Veritas and comparing the results so obtained. Preliminary studies, on simplified numerical models, are also performed to evaluate the mutual interaction between the hull and submerged structure. The main information have been so collected to be able setup a finite element model suitable to simulate the behavior of the structure as a whole. Starting from this model subsequent implementations have been carried out improving the investigation of the stress and strain overall and local distributions. For the numerical detailed investigation the two fem codes Maestro and Ansys have been used and the results compared, so verifying their reliability
