The papers here collected under the title Nobiltà e sofferenza concern different topics: philosophy of music, physiology and psychology of religion, criticism of Morals; considering them as a whole, we can recognize, as a leitmotif, the purpose to express in a personal way the lesson of Nietzsche, one of the most important character in the historical fate of western culture. Criticism of Platonism, of Christianity, of western Europe Morals and a new hermeneutics of pain, linked to the belief concerning sorrow as evidence of man’s noble-mindedness, with considerations about music and dyonisiac, make it possible to place Nietzsche inside the religious break of his age and to connect his philosophy to a deeper dimension of human life, such as that of Religious and Sacred; that means the dimension of Historia in nuce, according to the title of a short aphorism where Nietzsche gives voice to his earnest parody: «Im Anfang war der Unsinn, und der Unsinn war, bei Gott! Und Gott (göttlich) war der Unsinn». Nowdays we deem necessary, for philosophy, to accept in this paradoxical context the Nietzsche’s creative challenge.

Abstract
