Marie Dauguet has always been considered as a poet of nature, but there is in her poetry a more philosophical inspiration, which reveals influences of Hartmann's Die Philosophie des Unbewussten as well as of Schopenhauer's theory of Umwelt. In my essay I look at her philosophical background, in order to highlight the strong originality of her work. Her language, in particular, is shown to be far less spontaneous than it seems
