The article analyses the origin and nature of the greek words Rhythmos and Schema, their knowledge, meaning and use in the ancient theories of Arts, of Aesthetics. The essay compares the words Rhythmos and Schema according to their respective receptive sense-organs, hearing and sight. Originally it was the text of the speech in a congress held in Siena; in a retouched form, it has been republished as a chapter of the book Diplê.
