The authors carried out a study on the Liguria prison system, funded by Regione Liguria, in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice. The authors showed the overcrowding of prison, the large presence of immigrants and drug addicts, the decrease of alternative measures to imprisonment, the lack of job for prisoner inside the system.
